Let your kids enjoy the outdoors as part of the Yakima Boy Scouts!     Scouting is Camping!! Troop 200 has a campout at least once a month throughout the year. Campouts usually follow a program theme designed around a given topic. Some campouts will include a hike to campsite, while others will be car camping trips. Our Troop goes to Scout Resident Camp as a total unit for one week each Summer. This provides our Scouts with a great opportunity for advancement and adventure.

Spend some time in the great outdoors.     Enjoy country resort camping at its finest. Heated pool, fishing in ponds and river, basketball, campfires and pedal boat rentals. Large grassy shaded sites. New this year; bicycle rentals, pancake breakfasts, Saturday ice cream socials, midweek chili pot lucks. Base camp for central Washington wineries and fruit country. Kids under 5 stay free. Come join the fun at KOA in Yakima!

Visit "The Jewel of Yakima" -- a favorite place enjoyed and supported by thousands of residents and visitors every year.     The Yakima Greenway boasts 10 miles of paved pathway, three parks, two fishing lakes, and four river access landings plus protected and natural areas. Greenway facilities are free and open to the public year 'round, dawn to dusk.

Stay up-to-date on Yakima's outdoor news and activities.     Visit the Yakima-Herald web site for current outdoor articles and columns, plus local outdoor events.

Take your breath away...     The Yakima Area Arboretum is a living museum & botanical garden. The semiarid climate of Central Washington (also known as the Columbia River Basin) provides unique conditions for display and study of native and exotic species of woody plants.

Spend a day on the links.     Check out our web site of golf courses in Yakima and all over Washington state. Find course ratings, reviews, address and phone number, and much more!
